Prerequisites… Information in your listing that relates to the category. For example, to be listed under ‘Fine Dining’ your BABS site must provide photos, menus, etc. relating to your gourmet fare. Acceptable & Unacceptable Content What won't you publish? Outrageous claims – especially if they come from your guest book. Factual errors – for example, referring to the north coast of NSW as 'tropical'. Cliches – 'unique', 'home-away-from-home', 'award-winning', 'lovingly restored' and 'and much, much more'. Sorry, there are no exceptions! 'Gourmet breakfasts' – unless you send us photos showing that the food is equal to that displayed on the covers of Australian Gourmet Traveller or NZ Cuisine magazines. The photography doesn't have to be up to their standard but the food must. Can we include someone else’s photos or words in our listing? No… We won’t copy photos from postcards or tourist brochures unless you send us the signed authority of the copyright holder. We cannot accept your verbal or even written assurance that it is acceptable for us to copy the words or text from any source that is not obviously your own. Caution… Magazines or newspapers hold the copyright to articles about your property. We can reproduce the whole article with their permission or quote several lines of compliments without asking for permission provided we acknowledge the source. Surprisingly your own website might contain a notice claiming that copyright is held by the designer of the site rather than you. Once again, we will insist upon receiving signed permission from the party claiming copyright before using text or illustrations. Can we include our property’s star-rating? Yes… BABS has AAA Tourism's authority to quote your star-rating. We can also include your NZ Qualmark rating. What system of measurements is used in BABS? SI… For consistency we use ‘metric’ units only – metres, kilometres, hectares – and abbreviate them with their internationally accepted symbols – m, km, ha. We won’t convert names like Ninety Mile Beach or Six Mile Creek, but your 5-acre garden will appear as 2ha. If you prefer, we can omit measurements. Money Matters Does BABS add GST to our listing fee? No. What is BABS's ABN (Australian Business Number)? 20 747 509 501 Can accounts be paid by electronic funds transfer? Yes… but notify us when payment is made so that we know that it came from you. Australian customers only; funds transfers from NZ are too difficult.
