Herons Nest is named after the beautiful grey herons which nest in our large pohutukawa tree on our front lawn at the edge of Auckland's Manukau Harbour.

John and Mary are entering semi-retirement after running their own small business. As the family have now left the nest, we decided it would be great to share our spot with travellers.

We both love cooking and entertaining, and we have travelled to many countries outside New Zealand. John loves the outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening while Mary's favourites are shopping, travel, antiques and her service club, Altrusa.

Herons Nest will be one of your memorable stopovers. As we provide transport to/from Auckland Airport, Herons Nest is also the ideal beginning/ending point of your New Zealand vacation.
