It's
easy to find us…
Taupo, situated just three hours south of Auckland and four hours north of Wellington, is an obvious stopover on your trip through North Island. Lake Taupo, at over 600 square kilometres is New Zealand's largest lake and is famous for its trout fishing. The surrounding forests are ideal for hunting, mountain biking, horse trekking and bushwalking and the rivers are not only ideal for fishing but for whitewater rafting as well. Because the whole area is volcanic, there are magnificent examples of geothermal activity including mud pools and geysers, and natural hot pools for you to sit, relax and soak in. Close by are several golf courses including the International Wairaki Golf Course. In winter Mount Ruapehu offers two world class ski fields only 55 minutes away. If that's not enough adventure for you, there is sky diving and bungy jumping right on the doorstep. There is just so much to see and do in Taupo and we'll assist you in booking and organising your activities in any way we can. |
