Scenic Heights Lodge has three guest suites and features a large lounge with two terraces to the north and east, indoor and outdoor dining and a home theatre/library with 125cm plasma screen.

Tui Garden Suite
Ground floor with french doors onto the south terrace. This super kingsize bed suite is decorated in French provincial style with a lavender theme which extends to the garden beds outside. Full black and white Carrara marble bathroom with bathtub and separate shower and walk-in dressing room.

Lake View Suite
Ground floor with wide-opening bi-fold doors onto the terrace overlooking the pool and lake towards Mount Tauhara. Decorated in French provincial theme, the Lake View Suite has a super king bed, walk-in wardrobe and marble and tile bathroom with shower.

Lake Retreat Luxury Studio
The Lake Retreat is a fully self-contained queen bed studio apartment built as an extension to the main house. This tastefully furnished first floor apartment with private deck overlooking the lake, has a small well equipped kitchen, ideal for those preferring to self-cater, and marble and tile ensuite bathroom with shower.

Once you enter the gated driveway to this New Zealand boutique lodge, the breathtaking 250-degree lake and mountain views are revealed.

The lodge has three terraced areas maximising indoor to outdoor flow plus a pool terrace with sun loungers and a pool with exerjets. All guest rooms open onto terraces or private balconies. Inside, guests are welcome to relax at leisure in the lounge overlooking the lake, perhaps with a drink or a book from the small library. Or sink into the deep leather armchairs in the den/home theatre and listen to some music, watch a movie or the big game on the 125cm plasma screen.

All rooms have phone and email connections. Office facilities are available for those wishing to stay in touch with the outside world. Internet is available.

Taupo enjoys a moderate climate without extremes and air conditioning is not necessary even in the height of summer. Wide-opening french doors and bi-folds bring the outdoors inside on balmy spring and summer evenings. The lodge has central heating for the cooler months and a cheerful open gas log fire in the lounge.
