Zimzala is a stones throw from the beach, 10 minutes from the centre of Cairns and the Reef Terminal, where you leave to explore the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef.

All rooms are furnished with fine Egyptian cotton linen for your comfort, fully airconditioned and have private bathrooms or ensuites, ceiling fans and hairdryers. Selected rooms have verandah access and ocean views.

Cairns is the heart of the tropical north and is an excellent base for exploring this region. The Cairns International Airport is a short ride from the city centre. The Cairns Marina and Reef Fleet Terminal is only one block from the city centre and is the departure point for most Great Barrier Reef trips.

In the evening this small cosmopolitan centre offers the 100 000 residents and visitors a choice of over 100 restaurants. With an abundance of fresh seafood, exotic tropical fruits and the piquant flavours of native Australian cuisine, dining out is always a great experience.

Set in a prime location in the city centre, the Reef Hotel Casino complex offers everything you would expect from a boutique casino including restaurants, bars and entertainment.

The Cairns City Esplanade has recently undergone a major redevelopment which includes a swimming lagoon, waterfront boardwalks, barbecue areas and a children's waterpark playground. The lagoon precinct spans four hectares, and can accommodate 1000 swimmers at a time. It is open for free public use between 6am and 10pm daily.
